  • We love our dogs. You will too.

We know how much you treasure your dog, because we feel the same about ours.

Whether you are looking for the perfect partner for a special bitch, searching for a dog who will settle happily into your existing pack, or about to take the exciting but daunting step of selecting your first puppy, we can help.

We are Nicola and Maria, a mother and daughter who set up Midwayview to share the joy our dogs bring us. We breed responsibly with our beautiful, fun and well-mannered dogs and bitches, so breeders and families like you get puppies with style and character from knowledgeable people who care.

At our family’s former farm in rural Suffolk, our boys run together amiably in the paddock, our girls enjoy the extensive, secure gardens and our puppies are brought up in our home. We take safety seriously: there is always someone here with the dogs, and the whole site is securely fenced and protected by electric gates.

Nicola worked in veterinary services for many years, where she saw first-hand the health problems and heartbreak the actions of irresponsible and, sadly, ruthless businesses bring for unsuspecting breeders and families. When we set up Midwayview, we vowed that the health and wellbeing of our dogs and yours would always come first – and you can be confident it always does.

Our Boys

Nicola looks after our stud dog services, and you can put your trust in her experience and that of our dogs, all of whom are proven and have thrown beautiful puppies.

We have had each boy from an early age – some as young as eight weeks. We believe it is important to begin teaching each dog how to behave properly with the girls while they are still juvenile. As a result, you can be confident that they will be calm with your bitch, displaying none of the over-boisterous behavior that can be a problem with novices.

In line with good practice, we limit their studding to once, or in rare circumstances twice, a week. Opportunities are therefore limited – contact us early to avoid disappointment. Mating takes place on two occasions, 48 hours apart.

We also offer non-surgical Artificial Insemination, again on two occasions 48 hours apart. This proven technique can be helpful for particularly nervous bitches, or where the bitch is too big for the dog to mount successfully.

Our boys:

  • Are Kennel Club registered
  • Get comprehensive health-checks including testing for the known breed abnormalities
  • Spend almost all day, every day playing together in our large garden or the adjacent field
  • Get a decent walk every day
  • Are never left – there is always someone at home
  • Visit a professional groomer every six weeks

Terms

Every interaction is a personal one. Whether you are looking for a stud dog or a puppy, contact us for an informal chat about your needs.

Note that in the unlikely event that your bitch does not fall pregnant on the first mate – confirmed by a vet’s letter – we offer a free mate on the next season.

Our care for our puppies extends beyond our gates. Puppies need people around, so we will not sell ours to people who work full-time, unless satisfactory dog-sitting or dog-walking arrangements are in place.
